When masons construct a building the first and most integral part of their structure is the cornerstone. All of the other stones to be set will be in reference to this stone which determines the position of the entire structure. The starting point has to be unique, solid and built to last.
Recruit.
When college football coaches seek to build a football team, they look for recruits that fit their idea of what a football player should be. They are looking to renew or restore their roster with high school and junior college (community college) recruits.
A corner stone recruit is someone you want and need to build a football team around. Or someone to re-center your team -- someone like William Stowers.
At six feet, three inches and 350 lbs., William Stowers anchors the Indianola Academy Colonels (Indianola, MS) offensive line. The Senior, four-sport letterman has impressive stats -- 6.0 seconds in the 40 yard dash, 340 lbs. bench press, 495 lb squat and had a personal best of 10 reps of 605 lbs. in the box squat -- all in high school.
The 18-year old football prodigy has already been contacted by several Division Universities to visit their campuses while many more are starting to line-up to pursue the Colonel's offensive anchor.

UPDATE:
This coming weekend (10/11), William will be traveling to Starkville, MS as the official guest as a football recruit for Mississippi State University as they take on the Commodores of Vanderbilt University in SEC action.
There have been plenty of D2 school hot on Williams trail to attain his services and there are certain Pac 10 and Big 10 (or is it 11 up there?) that have been asking around about the standout center. Look for bigger and better things for this cornerstone recruit.

Stowers' athletic career has included accolades in basketball, tennis, track, golf and the gridiron. Voted MVP of his basketball team as a freshman, best offensive lineman for three straight years (freshman, sophomore and junior), second place in the Mississippi Private School Association (MPSA) shot put and has competed on the A-Tennis Team. Stowers' not only has been popular on athletic fields, gyms and courts, but well liked by his contemporaries. He has been voted as a class favorite his sophomore and junior years and has been a participant in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and received their prestigious leadership award.
As an Eagle Scout, Stowers' brings leadership, athletic prowess and dedication to each of his endeavors.
With designs on an SEC scholarship, Stowers' has not committed or tipped his hand as to which higher institution of learning will be the benefactor of his athletic services.
Build a better, stronger, and competitive football team by starting with a cornerstone recruit -- William Stowers.
